The Hungarian Community Centre is made up of various organisations that represent particular aspects of Hungarian community interests.

We offer events for all ages and many interests: Hungarofest, Picnics, Folk dancing, Cultural events, Ecumenical church, Transylvanian group, Seminars, Scouts, Seniors group, Hungarian literature group, Volunteer work, Lunches, Balls, Card group, Language school, Embroidery group, Library, Trianon and human rights group.
The Hungarian Community Centre and the groups within it actively participate in Australia's multicultural life, the dance groups perform at various festivals and close ties are held with other institutions, such as Buda, an historic home in Castlemaine.

The Association supports the maintenance and strengthening of language, culture, heritage and traditions of Hungarians living outside of its borders. It is particularly involved in the wellbeing of Hungarians living in Transylvania by supporting their schools, orphanages, churches and welfare organisations. The Association provides tertiary scholarships for students from disadvantaged families.
Meetings are on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm at the Hungarian Community Centre's Transylvanian Room.
The folkdance group caters for the more advanced dancers and it also includes the “mature” dancers who commenced dancing later. It is actively involved in the promotion and maintenance of Hungarian cultural life.
Rehearsals are Wednesday nights at 7.00pm to 10.00pm in the Youth Hall.
The objectives of the Hungarian scouting movement is for Hungarian-speaking Youth to learn and live by the scout laws, adopt the scouting way-of-life as written by Lord Baden Powell, and to embrace the richness of their cultural heritage as inspired by the teachings of Count Pal Teleki.
Fortnightly meetings Saturday 2.00pm to 6.00pm at the Hungarian Community Centre's Youth Hall. For our small members - 0-4 years old children - Maci Kindergarden is running at the same time.
The object of the Knox Hungarian Senior Citizens Club is to enrich the lives of older Hungarians who may otherwise be isolated. Members are able to share traditional Hungarian meals at gatherings.
Meetings are held every second Tuesday from 10.30am to 2.30pm (includes bingo).
The club aims are to maintain, practice and pass on to others and future generations the art of traditional Hungarian folk embroidery.
Meetings are every second Thursday 10am to 2.00-pm.
To teach Hungarian folk dance and folksongs to young and mature age dance enthusiasts and to be actively involved in the cultural life of the Hungarian community.
Practices are every Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7.00pm in the Youth Hall.
The Hungarian school serves the Hungarian community by teaching the language, literature and culture to children from kindergarten to VCE. The school also involves itself in community activities.
Classes are held every Saturday morning 9.30 to 12.30pm at the Hungarian Community Centre.
Melbourne Hungarian Television Ass. Inc produces programs that highlight the many aspects of Hungarian life in Victoria.
MHTV programs can be seen on Channel 44 at 4.30pm on Sundays.
The Society researches and presents to the world the disastrous impact on Hungary of the infamous Treaty of Trianon signed at Versailles 4 June 1920.
